BIOGRAPHY
Nickolas Wead is an associate attorney at LNL, specializing in business law with a focus on litigation, contracts, alternative dispute resolution, entrepreneurship, and internal governance. Nickolas understands that businesses thrive when legal risks are minimized, opportunities are seized, and challenges are anticipated, so he delivers tailored, proactive strategies that protect clients’ interests while fostering growth and efficiency. As a true partner in your success, he combines sharp legal insight with practical business acumen, always prioritizing client needs.
Nickolas brings hands-on expertise from analyzing and negotiating numerous contracts at The Ohio State University’s Business and Finance office, where he diligently resolved vendor disputes and crafted addendums to align legal protections with business objectives. At Amundsen Davis, he bolstered litigation efforts through comprehensive legal research, drafting motions and memoranda, contributing to a U.S. Supreme Court amicus brief, and developing client-facing publications. Additionally, as a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio, he advanced federal cases through in-depth investigations, drafting essential legal pleadings and motions, synthesizing statutes and precedents, and partnering with attorneys on regulatory strategies.
A proud double-Buckeye, Nickolas earned his B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 2022, with a specialization in Economics and a minor in Leadership Studies. He received his J.D. from Moritz College of Law in 2025, where he served as Chief Online Editor of The Ohio State Law Journal, pioneered a cutting-edge legal technology class focused on the accessibility of justice, excelled in mediation and entrepreneurial business law clinics to assist startups and resolve disputes, and completed over 450 hours of pro bono service to earn the Dean’s Highest Honors as a Public Service Fellow. His leadership was evident as President of Block O, the largest and long-standing student organization on campus, where he organized large-scale events for thousands, managed strategic university relationships, and authored hundreds of revisions to the organization’s constitution, culminating in his selection to the 2023 Homecoming Court for integrity, spirit, and achievement.
