Probate is the process by which a person’s estate is settled, usually after the person has died. An estate consists of the person’s interest in personal and real property. LNL’S probate attorneys and staff work alongside the appointed executor of the estate and other heirs to complete the probate process.

Our attorneys and paralegals are experienced in all phases of estate administration, including locating heirs, transferring assets, and preparing and filing all documents necessary to open and administer the estate. We will prepare and file all required notices to heirs, inventories, accounts, and state and federal income tax returns. With thorough preparation and filing of the necessary documentation, our clients are often not required to appear in court.

Our probate attorneys have also handled numerous ancillary proceedings, including property for an out-of-state decedent. Our Probate Department is fully automated and computerized.
