LNL is committed to sustainable office practices. LNL continues to explore ways to increase efficiency and minimize its footprint and has already implemented the following best practices:

• LNL has implemented a double sided copy/print policy, called "Think Before You Print!" This means that we require that all employees use the 2-sided print option that is available on all of our copiers, and many of our printers, for all copy or print jobs that do not require single-side printing. We are not only mandating that employees (attorneys and staff members) use double sided copying for clients when possible, but also for all internal reporting and any other work as well. This was a difficult change for many employees but necessary to accomplish our goal of becoming a more sustainable and efficient operation. LNL’s “think before you print” initiative is helping the firm’s ongoing waste reduction strategies and our goal is to reduce paper waste and expense by nearly one-half.

• LNL ensures that at approximately 90 percent of all types of copier, printer, letterhead, and bond paper, as well as business and manila envelopes purchased have at least 30% post-consumer recycled content.

• LNL offers filtered water by way of a filtration system installed in its communal kitchen instead of bottled water.

• LNL actively takes part in its building's recycling program.
