yards of landfill space!
Ohio Mobile Shredding had the following to say about their service: “We are committed

document containers, free of charge, to promote proper disposal habits and to keep
your documents safe from prying eyes and hands; Based on a service schedule specific
to your needs, an OMS customer service representative will collect and shred your

The containers are in place throughout the office, so you may start to feed them.

the containers. Please make sure you let Donna or David know how the shredding service
is working for you. We want your feedback so that we can continue to properly evaluate
this service. Please let Donna or David know

Tips on Making the Switch to More Eco-friendly Lighting in Your Home
We have started to transition CF Bulbs into some of our current light fixtures,
and we are now using CF bulbs in the front lobby lamps. You may have noticed that
the cool blue glow of the first CF bulbs we tried, has now been replaced with a
bulb that emits light more similar to that of the traditional incandescent light
bulb. We didn’t give
up on our idea; we switched to a different type of CF bulb.
CF bulbs tend to get a bad reputation when it comes to the light they emit. They
are often referred to as “too cool” or “too blue” and there is often a fear that
they will fail to achieve good ambience. But there is good news. Consumers often
get what consumers want, and this case proves to be no different.
If you are looking for the traditional glow of an incandescent bulb, but want
a more eco-friendly option, the following list should help you in your quest:
OPTION # 1: CF BULBS
When looking at CF
bulbs to purchase, look at the lumens number. This refers to the amount of light
that the bulb will emit. The watts tell you the amount of energy the bulb is using,
but does not affect the amount of light that comes from the bulb. So lumens are
important. The following chart helps to clarify. You probably know the type of incandescent
bulb you prefer, so use this chart to help you select a comparable CF Bulb:

The Standard CF Bulb (pictured above on the left) looks a lot like a traditional
incandescent light bulb and it works very similarly as well. This bulb is perfect
for those who don’t want a big change in their lighting. These bulbs will help you
achieve that old familiar warm ambience, they won’t flicker, will last 10 times
longer than incandescent, and will use only one third of the electricity you are
presently using. The Candelabra (pictured on the right) CFL is great for chandeliers
and other accent lighting. It features the same qualities as the standard bulb and
some will come with dimming capabilities.
OPTION # 2: LED BULBS
While CF bulbs are all the “eco-rage” at present, the future in lighting may very
well be headed towards LED light bulbs. These bulbs continue to be more expensive
due to the way they are manufactured, but improvements have been made and prices
are starting to come down. LED bulbs don’t contain any mercury (CF bulbs do) and
they last even longer than the CF bulbs. In addition, they are durable in design
so they won’t break as easily. According to trendhunter.com, a new LED bulb (pictured
above on the right) was recently
introduced that is supposed to be comparable in
light quality to that of a 40 watt incandescent. The amazing thing is they claim
it won’t burn out for 35 years! Some people may never need to change a light bulb
again…
HAPPY LIGHT BULB HUNTING!
